Their diet consists of fruits, nuts, berries, small vertebrates and invertebrates. A dominant male leads a group of 10 to 50 members, with mating rights to all receptive females. They have a lifespan in the wild of approximately 35 years. They weigh from 5 to 6.5 pounds and are about 20 inches long with a semiprehensile tail measuring another 20 inches that can be used for climbing.
