Most wild troops are associated with human settlements in farms, temples and cities. Their broad diet includes fruits, grains, veggies, insects, leaves, shoots, fish and shellfish. Rhesus macaques are biologically very similar to people as well as hardy and adaptable, all of which has made them indispensable to medical research.
