Deinonychus "Raptor" w/ Real Feathers

-Size: approximately 10'L (along the curve of the tail) x 5'H, including base (1:1 Scale)

 -Species: Deinonychus antirrhopus

("Terrible Claw & counter-balanced" - in reference to the curved "killing claws" of the feet, as well as the stiffened tail that would have provided counter-balance to the rest of the animal).

-Notes: This carefully crafted piece consists of genuine peacock, turkey, and macaw feathers, as well as faux fur, that have been masterfully placed for the most life-like accuracy. The Deinonychus is the true-to-life counterpart of the Jurassic Park villain-dinosaur, Velociraptor, and was the inspiration for the Velociraptors featured in the Jurassic Park novels and films.

-Age: Cretaceous Period, 115-108 million years ago

-Location: Cloverly & Antlers Formations, Montana, Wyoming, and Oklahoma, USA
