-Size: 3&½"L x 2"W x 1&½"H
-Species: Buteo jamaicensis
-Notes: The red-tailed hawk is distributed throughout North and Central America. If the weather is not too harsh, the hawk will stay in one area throughout the year. Harsh winter climates, though, may send them south. They are 1&1/2 -2 feet long with a wingspan of 4 feet. As with other birds of prey, the female is larger than the male, in this case, 25 percent larger. Although the hawk will primarily eat rodents, they do also take birds or reptiles. Hawks may keep the same mate for years, often not taking a new mate unless the old mate dies. Both parents incubate eggs and provide food for their young. 1-part skull (jaw glued to cranium).
Please allow up to 2 weeks for processing time with cast replicas as most of these items are made to order. Thank you for your understanding. Shipping outside of the USA may require additional shipping than quoted by the website.
